Sir Bruce Forsyth is stepping down as the regular weekly host of Strictly Come Dancing, the BBC has confirmed

The 86-year-old entertainer has co-hosted the show since it began in 2004. The BBC One series celebrates its 10th series later this year.

No replacement has been announced.

Awwww, sad news :( Sir Brucey is a legend.

I would hope for Claudia to go full-time, but I suppose we shall have to wait and see! (and actually this year is the 12th series, you’d think the BBC would know that…)

Looks like the article has been updated with the correct details now!

‘There are so many judgments about larger women, even though there are a lot of us. People think we’re lazy, that we just sit and eat and that’s just a massive over-simplification. There’s a lot of prejudice attached to it. It means that anyone over a size 18 doesn’t feel normal — but what is normal? Many would give their left arm to be thinner. Not me. I hate this obsession with looking a certain way. These days you’ve got to have your tan, your extensions — it’s a sheep mentality. It’s OK to be orange and fake, but not to be bigger. But who decreed that? And the result is a vast number of women thinking: “I can’t be that,” and becoming insular, losing their confidence. And it’s wrong.’ - Lisa Riley (British actress and TV presenter) I bloody love this woman!
